The Provost and Vice President Academic is responsible for the academic mandate of the University at its Vancouver campus and provides leadership in planning, policy development and management of resources to achieve strategic goals.  The portfolio encompasses the Faculties and Colleges, as well as academic support units such as the Library, Information Technology, Continuing Studies, and units with responsibility for supporting teaching, learning and research.

SEARCH, SENIOR ADVISOR, TEACHING AND LEARNING AND DIRECTOR FOR THE CENTRE FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING (formerly Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth)

In 2010, Gary Poole concludes his appointment as Director of the Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth (renamed the UBC-Vancouver Centre for Teaching and Learning). A search is underway for his successor. The new Director will also serve as Senior Advisor, Teaching and Learning. The search is being conducted in accordance with UBC’s normal practice for the appointment of Heads and Directors. The following information will be updated from time to time:
